I am not a professionally trained health or life coach. I'm not even a true fitness or nutrition junkie. What I am is a determined concerned young woman with an unhealthy past and a yearning to do better in the future. As a mom of two young kiddos ranging from a former NICU preemie, which was a traumatic delivery to a large and healthy home-born daughter, I've got the right reasons to get and keep myself on track now. Feel free to follow my honest journey through life's transitions.
From the child who wouldn't eat anything, to the teen who lived on junk, to the college kid who lived on alcohol, to the fit and happy adult working on staying active through pregnancies, cross country moves, and trying to raise a family I have had my experiences at most places in the wellness spectrum. I am not a celebrity that can afford to have people make me meals or buy exclusively organic. I am a real person, with a limited income living in a neighborhood full of serially underpaid people who live on fast food. I know that every bite that goes into my mouth makes a difference though, and every step I take changes my life a little bit. So I'm striving to find and maintain a balance in my life between health and finding the time and money to enjoy my daily life. I'm here, Finding Balance.
I'm an early thirties mom of a wonderful but exhausting tiny human, who was born in June 2016, a month before his expected arrival, and a plucky daughter of August 2018. My two fur kids are 9 and 1, and we live with my lovely husband who also struggles to balance food, work, stress, kids, and health.
